Sick of looking at me yet? I set up my camera in the deathbox to see how that would work out. Short clip of the grind after the jump.

Bryce Kanights set up this shot last night, homage to the classic Wynn Miller shot of Tony Alva. It was fun pretending to be Mad dog. Dang, I should try to reenact all my favorite skate photos. The first and third tricks of the run after the turn (you can see the flames go down).

I took this shot this morning but the tile inside the deathbox was all grungy. I can’t believe I cleaned it. I also put the coping on the little quarter yesterday, more shots after the turn. For all intents and purposes, the bowl is done. The decks cost about $500 and took about 160 – 80lb. bags, about 3 yards of concrete.

I was excited to get an invitation to join Wally Inouye, Chris Strople, and Bryce Kanights on a four day trip to the Treasure State. Wally and Strople were childhood heroes of mine and I have been meaning to get up to check out the Montana skateparks for the last several years.
