Once described as the virtual god of all skate zines. Bodyslam - skateboarding mag of vert only was conceived and published in the glory days of the DIY revolution, way before Home Depot. Five issues appeared between 1982 and 1987, covering old school backyard ramp action in Portland, Oregon and Boston, Massachusetts. Featuring such notable spots as Bugland, Larry's Ramp, Braintree, Canton, Newton and infamous characters like the Grinner, Max Concave, The loud Ones, Jay Mugging, little Tommy Huckabee and many more, Bodyslam was a coveted and hard to find item. A new CDROM makes it possible to relive the scene and the addition of Hey, check out that Old Guy - the comics and drawings of Mark Conahan and More old school than you - the history of the bodyslam crew make it at least twice as cool as the original.
